A food forest is an ecologically diverse, culinary feast for the senses. It's also a space for community, where people come together, creating new connections with each other and the natural environment. In today's fast-paced urban landscapes, we crave these kinds of places — where we can reconnect with something greater than ourselves.
That's what world's first Food Forest Festival aimed to do; to bring people together in an experience of abundance, all in the embrace of one of the Netherlands' oldest food forests in Rotterdam.
As a participant of Groen Traineeship, I had the privilege of being part of an amazing team that made it happen, and captured the essence in visual feats to promote the festival.
To accompany the promotional online campaign for the festival, I created a vibrant visual identity for the marketing team, dipping the summer festival feeling in a food forest flavour.
To add something extra to the campaign, I brought a few forest inhabitants with me, all carrying tasty treats, on their way to the festival, as an invitation on social media to join in on the fun. The online presence contributed to a succesful campaign, as the fesitval was sold out completely!
